Important Information
The commitment you are making to this trip does not start in July, it starts now. It is important to enter this trip with a servant’s posture - committed to learn, and that begins with committing to attend and participate in team meetings. These meetings are mandatory and critical for staying up to date on the logistics of the trip, bonding with the other members of the team and learning what you need to know to be prepared for what lies ahead.
Approximate Trip Date: July 19-29 (This is estimated and can flex based on flights. The trip will be 11 days total including flying time)
What this cost includes:
Airfare to Nairobi & from Nairobi to Maasai Mara
Food & Lodging in Kenya (Including time at Safari)
Transportation (airport transfers & trucks) while in Kenya
Visa to enter country
Safari
Dinner on last night before heading back to airport
What costs are not included:
Travel immunizations
Passport (if you don’t have one)
Food on travel days in airports or layover cities

❋ Team Meetings
There will be a total of 6-7 team meetings leading up to the trip. These meetings are mandatory to prepare how we approach short-term missions, bond as a team, get important logistics like packing, immunizations, fundraising, etc established.

❋ Next STEPS:
Return your application and $300 deposit by Sunday, February 15, 2026. You will be contacted by Monday, February 16, 2026 regarding your application.
Once you are accepted, we will call you with more forms (team member commitment, financial memo of understanding, fundraising tips and sample letters, passport instructions and immunization recommendations) and a complete team meeting schedule. At our first meeting we will talk about the following next steps:
If you don’t have a passport apply for one right away (current waiting times are long)
Arrange to get necessary vaccines and medications (we will provide a list of recommended from the CDC)
Send out fundraising letters ASAP (We will provide you a sample letter at the first team meeting)
Make sure you put all the team meeting dates in your calendar and make your team leader aware if you have any scheduling conflict
